JJ Bitting Brewing Company - LOKI

After getting Cowboy filth autographs and touring Route 35 for a brew pub with good food and one that was actually in business we ended up at JJ Bitting Brewing Company in Woodbridge, NJ. The scenery was brick walls hardwood floors and wooden chair booths and tables to match the floor. Odin, Aurvandil, and myself ordered a sampler of the six beers that were home brewed.

Victoria's Golden Ale - Very light beer. Reminds me of a Coors light with lil taste and after mass consumption you could still walk straight. Definitely meant for the female customers. Oh Odin and Aurvandil ordered this beer.

Raspberry Wheat Ale - Light golden beer with a slight raspberry taste at the end. Very good beer without an over powering flavor. Growler Worthy.

Chocolate Cherry Stout - A dark thin beer. Dark as a guiness but the exact opposite in consistency. More of a dessert beer than a meal beer with the chocolate covered cherry taste. Growler Worthy.

Avenel Amber - The least favorite beer in the group. Did not leave a lasting impression. Normal amber beer.

Doppelbock - Loki's favorite beer of the bunch. A dark flavorfull beer made just like a bock should be made. Only bock that has a better rating than this is Ramstein's Eisboch and that's in its own elite class. Definitely Growler Worthy.

Bitting Best Bitter - Loki is not a fan of bitter hoppy beers at all. But if I was to choose a bitter beer this would be it due to the very slight bitter taste at the end.

Loki's grading system is easy... Growler worthy or not Growler worthy. So if you see it is Growler worthy you better at least have a pint of it to experience the greatness.

  1. What this douchebag Giants fan fails to mention is that it is Loki who led us to about 40 closed placed before we found this one. He also failed to mention that his oh so awesome beer was served to him in a Dora the Explorer sippy cup! He has a lot to say about Victoria's Ale but was very praising of the "very manly" raspberry and cherry beers. Odin's review will be coming soon!
