We traveled to New Brunswick, NJ to visit the Harvest Moon Brew Pub. The place itself was a little more upscale than I prefer but overall pretty nice. We had a beer sampler as well as a few pints of Firehouse Red and some food. The verdict...
Elmes Mild Manor Nothing spectacular but drinkable. A medium bodied beer that leaves you wanting something better.
Jimmy D's Firehouse Red The best of the beer. Not saying it was great but a decent beer which is not saying much for the beer overall.
British Nut Brown I am still looking for a drinkable Nut Brown. This however was probably the worst glass of this vile filth of a beer that I have had!
Full Moon Pale Ale All bitter and little else. I like Pale Ales but this one didn't do anything for me at all.
Harvest Hefeweizen An example of Hefeweizen gone wrong! Very disappointing.
FOOD I had a pulled pork sandwich or at least thats what they said the few scraps of meat on my bun were! They brag about homemade bbq sauce but it is a sweet bottled tasting bilge. Nothing special here.
Harvest Moon - Overall Rating D

The D rating better be for Don't ever go back there unless you go at night and want to see some great Rutgers tail getting drunk. I concur that the pulled pork sandwich was ridiculous. The meat they put on there was enough to cover two sliders let alone a whole sandwich. Definitely not fitting for a Norse Deity. Since Loki tried removing this trip from his memory I did not remember what beers we had but each and every one either lacked flavor or one just was filled with bitterness. Based on Loki's rating system none of these beers were Growler Worthy. I don't even think Odin would fill his Bitch Growler with one of these beers. Very disappointing until spring time comes and the wenches are in shorter skirts.
